Lessons and Carols

Fredericksburg Street Choir and Micah Street Church Presents... our 5th annual Lessons and Carols! Join us in for this community Christmas event! Hot chocolate and cookies start at 5:30 PM. Lessons and Carols service starts at 6:00. Join us and our neighbors for some holiday cheer! We will meet in the Historic Market Square (corner of Princess Anne St and William St, behind Fredericksburg Area Museum). Stay tuned for a rain location in case of bad weather. Dress warmly and come with a festive spirit!

Benefit Concert and Hymn Sing

Join us at Trinity Episcopal, one of our Micah churches, this Sunday (Oct 26), 4-6 PM, for an evening of joyful worship songs to support Micah's planned Jeremiah Community! Learn a bit more about the vision for Jeremiah Community, and enjoy the gifts and talents of Trinity's Church Choir! A love offering will be collected to support Jeremiah Community. Click for flyer.

All Saints Day

Please join us for our Micah Community All Saints' Day. This is the evening each year that we set aside space to remember the homeless and formerly-homeless neighbors we have lost over the course of the last year. On Thursday, October 30, we'll meet on the Methodist Green, at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church - the green space on the Princess Anne Street side. We will begin at 5:30 PM with the Camp Vigil, where you can visit the memorial campsites set up throughout the Green to remember those we lost. At 6:00 PM, join us for our candlelight memorial service, including prayer, liturgy, and song. Click for flyer.

Compassion Conversation

Join the Micah churches for a Compassion Conversation, a unique opportunity to hear from Fredericksburg City Council candidates about the human issues often left out of local election conversations. Hosted at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church. Doors open at 6:15 PM. Event begins at 6:30 PM. We will in Kobler Hall at FUMC. (Enter Kobler Hall from the FUMC parking lot, from the Charlotte Street parking lot entrance.). Letu2019s talk about the kind of city weu2019re buildingu2014together.. Come listen, learn, and join a conversation that puts people first. All are welcome.
