HESED HOUSE

Micah’s Interim Housing Ministry, Hesed House, offers a stable stepping stone for individuals transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing.

GOALS

  • To bridge the gap between homelessness and permanent housing with supportive interim accommodations.
  • To provide a structured environment where residents can regain stability and move toward a flourshing life.

Supporting Transitions

Hesed House can accommodate up to 14 guests, offering them not just a place to stay, but a new beginning. Each resident is given the opportunity to engage in on-site work or pay rent, and receives support tailored to their journey towards permanent housing. The converted hotel is equipped with essential amenities and offers a peaceful setting for personal healing and growth.

NEW BEGINNINGS

At Hesed House, we don’t just provide shelter; we foster a foundation for future success. From the moment a resident steps in, they are met with support that nurtures their progress towards a stable, independent life. Our community is committed to providing encouragement and practical assistance throughout their stay. Join us in supporting our neighbors as they move forward from past hardships to new opportunities.

“Hesed” is a Hebrew word for love and refers specifically to God’s unconditional, unrelenting, unfailing commitment to humanity. It is with this in mind that we provide Hesed House to our neighbors transitioning out of homelessness into flourishing, purposeful lives.

The Story of Hesed House & Jerry Evans

Hesed House is made possible by a long-time community supporter of Micah’s work, Jerry Evans.

Jerry’s initial vision for Hesed House was planted as a result of a fire. From this destruction, the journey towards Hesed House, as a branch of Micah Ministries, began.
