Meghann Cotter

Executive Servant-Leader

Meghann, a native of Fredericksburg, has been with Micah since 2007. She graduated from Emory & Henry College in 2004 with a degree in Mass Communications and Public Policy & Community Services. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Urban Studies from Eastern University in Philadelphia, and is currently working through coursework towards a Doctorate of Ministry. In her spare time, she enjoys time with her husband and two sons.

Lori Yelverton

Ministry Administrator

Lori is a proud graduate of Michigan State University, where she received her Bachelors in Business Administration. She began her career with a division of U.S. Steel in Atlanta, Georgia, before moving to Virginia and working in nonprofit management. She has served as Ministries Administrator at Micah since 2012. When not at work trying to end homelessness, she likes to travel and enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons.

Peg Phillips

Servant-Leader of Neighbor Care

Peg was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in West Palm Beach, FL. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Biology and Nursing. Peg worked as an ICU/ER nurse for over 22 years. She has been on staff with Micah since 2011 and currently holds the position of Home Development Leader, where she oversees Micah’s Housing, Income Development, and Furniture Bank programs. Everyone knows that Peg loves her Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

Jill Clare

Executive Administrator

Jill is a native of Fredericksburg, and has spent most of her professional life working with nonprofits. She has a Bachelors degree from UMW in Classics, Philosophy, and Religion, and a Masters degree from UVA in Theology, Ethics, and Culture. Jill spent six years working with a local SPCA after graduate school, before joining Micah in 2021. In her spare time, Jill enjoys quietly reading books to her dog.

Rev. Dr. Larry Haun

Community Ministry Chaplain

Larry has been walking alongside our unhoused neighbors for decades. He served at FXBG Baptist Church as lead pastor for more than 40 years before joining us officially at Micah Ministries. Larry and FXBG Baptist have been key ministry partners with Micah’s work since our founding. Larry received his theological training at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. There he earned a Master of Religious Education in 1977 and a Master of Divinity in 1988. He completed his Doctor of Ministry degree in 1991.
