When you come in, our staff and volunteers will help you make the phone call to the Homeless Help line, which can get you connected to the agency that can best support your needs.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE
While visiting our Hospitality Center, we will help with your basic needs. Our Hospitality Center provides:
- Showers
- Clothing closet
- Bagged lunches
- Hygiene products
- A sense of community
- Connections to mental health services
- Connections to supportive services
- Information about what happens next and how to navigate community resources.
Once you have come to our Hospitality Center and we have gotten to know you, we can determine the best way to connect you with the help you need. We are here for hospitality, support, and connection.

Journey Guides
Step Forward Income Assistance
Provides income assistance to those suffering from multiple barriers to employment or who may require assistance accessing public benefits.
Cold Weather Shelter
An overnight facility that keeps street homeless neighbors from freezing to death during the winter months. The shelter is opened each night based on temperature, during the months of November through February.
Residential Recovery Home
Provides temporary shelter for homeless men and women who are leaving the hospital in need of temporary or terminal care.
Rapid Re-housing
Short-term assistance for those with minimal barriers to housing stability. Case management and financial support is issued in three-month increments, to help our neighbors overcome homelessness and regain housing stability.
Supportive Housing
Long-term assistance for people experiencing chronic homelessness. Wrap-around services and a rental subsidy help those with the most severe challenges stay housed.
Street Church
An ecumenical worshiping community with no walls that meets every Sunday at 1915 Charles St., Fredericksburg, VA. Breakfast is served at 10 a.m., with worship starting at 10:30 a.m. Come as you are. Learn more.
