The United Nations’ General Assembly has declared Friday, September 21, 2018  as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. The theme of the 2018 International day of peace is “The Right to Peace.” The International Day of peace, aka “Peace Day” Provides an opportunity for individuals, organizations and nations to undertake acts of peace and kindness. People across the globe will engage in diverse and meaningful ways, from observing a minute of silence to participation in peace marches.

The Rappahannock Rotary Club believes that “The Right to Peace” starts right here in our own community As part of our celebration of Peace Day, we would like to invite you to join us for an evening of conversation on Promoting Peace and Civility in our Community.This event will begin at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Fredericksburg Baptist Church (the Caroline St. entrance) and will conclude at 9 pm
